Position: Communication/research Assistant – NB Federation of Labour
Full Time – Moncton office
Applicants must have a very good knowledge of general office work and be able to perform duties and responsibilities with accuracy and minimum supervision in both official languages.
Skill Requirements and Duties:
• Strong skills in researching, composing, writing, proofreading, correspondences and other
documents as required.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English and French.
• Completion of a University degree or equivalent.
• Must be highly proficient in computer skills such as Power Point, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and typing skills.
• Maintain accurate filing systems and up-to-date records and mailing lists.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of office supplies.
• Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines and schedules.
• Experience with translation would be an asset.
• Must have excellent time management and communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of Labour Movement would be an asset.
• Other duties as assigned.
As per CAW Local 4501 Collective Agreement, the starting salary is $61 800 yearly.
